Abstract
This research examines the PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) SME Development program as one of the company's social and environmental responsibility (CSR) activities. To maintain the continuity of its business activities, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) requires support and trust from the community and stakeholders. The efforts made by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) are to carry out CSR activities that have been regulated in Law No. 40 of 2007. In carrying out CSR activities, a communication strategy plays a role in communicating to the community and stakeholders that CSR activities are an effort to improve the company's positive image. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive research types. The data collected in this research is in the form of primary data and secondary data. The data sources obtained were obtained through interview activities, literature studies, and documentation studies. The research data process uses three steps of data analysis, namely, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusions and with the help of source triangulation to test information that has been received from various sources. In this study, the theory used is stakeholder theory and is supported by Carroll's CSR Pyramid concept which consists of four types of corporate responsibility, namely Economics, Legal, Ethical, and Philanthropic. The findings of this study said that the implementation of the SME Development program, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) is divided into three programs that train Pelindo-assisted SMEs to be able to compete nationally and internationally. In addition, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) also implements several communication strategies, such as exhibition participation, branding on SME packaging, and also making press releases. The implementation of the SME Development program is included in Community Development or a sustainable program in the community. In addition, the implementation of the SME Development Program at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) also aims to obtain Creating Shared Value or CSV value. Based on the strategies and results that have been achieved from the implementation of this program, the implementation of the SME Development program can also improve the image of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) in the eyes of the community and stakeholders.
