Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ON THE VALUE OF MANUFACTURING COMPANIES IN THE CONSUMPTION SECTOR ON THE INDONESIAN STOCK EXCHANGE By Okky Tiberbina br Tarigan ABSTRACT This research uses quantitative research which aims to determine the effect of good corporate governance consisting of institutional ownership, managerial ownership, foreign ownership, independent board of commissioners and the frequency of joint meetings on company value with company size and profitability as control variables. The population used in this research is secondary data with consumer industrial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the period 2020 to 2022. The sample used in this research is 194 companies with a total of 582 observations using the purposive sampling method with the following criteria. has been determined. This research hypothesis was tested using multiple linear regression analysis with the STATA.12 application with a significance value of 5% or 0.05. The results of this test show that (1) Institutional ownership has no influence on company value (2) Managerial ownership has no influence on company value (3) Foreign ownership has no influence on company value (4) Independent board of commissioners has no influence on value company (5) The frequency of joint board meetings has no influence on company value. Meanwhile, the control variables are (6) company size has a negative effect on company value and (7) profitability has a positive effect on company value.
