Abstract
Introduction: Hypertension is a condition of a person with blood pressure that is high or above normal which can have the potential for illness or death. Hypertension is a disease that many Indonesian people suffer from, but hypertension is not an infectious disease, the percentage of sufferers is 57.6%. This research on hypertension aims to study and understand nursing care for families with hypertensive clients in the Depok City Area RT 01 RW 21. Method: The method used is a descriptive method that describes case studies in exploring family nursing care problems. The approach used is assessment, diagnosis, planning, action and nursing evaluation. Results and Discussion: During the assessment, the main complaints felt by clients were neck pain and lack of knowledge in the family about hypertension. In establishing family nursing diagnoses, there are three family nursing diagnoses, namely acute pain, physical weakness and ineffective family health management, all three of which are related to the family's inability to care for family members. Planning and implementation are supported by supporting facilities and means and evaluations are carried out well. Conclusions and Suggestions: Based on the evaluation results, nursing problems can be resolved because clients are able to cooperate and are willing to implement the nurses' directions. It is hoped that the development of nursing science will be able to develop knowledge for nurses and families with hypertension problems.
