Abstract

Terapi pada pasien BPH bertujuan untuk mengembalikan kualitas hidup pasien BPH. Salah satu terapi yang dianjurkan untuk pasien BPH adalah Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan kualitas hidup pasien BPH sebelum dan sesudah tindakan TURP di RSPAD Gatot Soebroto tahun 2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain kohort retrospektif. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 27 pasien BPH yang telah menjalani prosedur TURP di RSPAD Gatot Soebroto pada bulan januari-juni 2017. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji T berpasangan, dengan hasil p value sebesar 0.000 pada perbedaan kualitas hidup pasien sebelum dan sesudah TURP dan 0.000 pada hubungan usia dengan kualitas hidup pasien sebelum dan sesudah TURP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbaikan kualitas hidup pasien BPH sebelum dan sesudah menjalani prosedur TURP dan juga ada hubungan antara usia dengan kualitas hidup pasien sebelum dan sesudah prosedur TURP. Hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya perbaikan gejala klinis pasien BPH setelah operasi dan usia merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidup pasien BPH.
