Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN NUTRITION KNOWLEDGE AND SNACK SELECTION ATTITUDES TO SNACKING HABITS IN ADOLESCENT AT SMA SEJAHTERA 1 DEPOK Nutrition knowledge is something that known about food in relation with optimal health. The level of nutrition knowledge on adolescents affects their attitude and behaviour in selecting snacks that will influence their nutritional status. Attitudes shows feelings in form of positive values or negative and affecting adolescent to achieve their goals. Snack selection attitude is the most important component that affects them towards their choice of snacks. This study aims to find out the relation between nutrition knowledge and snack selection attitude towards snacking habits in adolescents at SMA Sejahtera 1 Depok. The design used in this study was cross sectional. Sampling method by random sampling system of 77 respondents. The instrument used in this study was questionnaire. Relation analysis used in this study was chi square test. The conclusion of this study is there is no meaningful relation between nutrition knowledge (p=0.426) and snack selection attitude (p=0.056) with snacking habits in adolescents at SMA Sejahtera 1 Depok.
