Abstract
This study aims to finds out the Tempo.co’s framing, through 3 online news about the raising of One Piece flag. This research method is qualitative research, with a constructivist paradigm. The research objects were collected through documentation data collection method. The researcher analyzed the three research objects using the Gamson and Modigliani framing analysis technique. This data analysis method breaks down the text into two phases, the core frame (the main idea or frame of the text), and the condensing symbols. The condensing symbols is divided into two, framing device and the reasoning device. After those stages, the researcher will find Tempo’s interpretative packages regarding the framing of One Piece flag raising issue. The researcher found that Tempo.co framed the One Piece raising flag movement in two interpretative packages, those are criticism package and message distribution package. Criticism package explains the One Piece flag raising movement as a social criticism movement, which caused by accumulation of public disappointments and angers towards the government. The next package is message distribution package, this package constructs this flag raising movement has become a viral phenomenon because of two factors or reasons. These factors are information technology (social media) and some inappropriate government responses. Theese two framing packages create Tempo.co partisanship to One Piece flag raisers.
