Abstract

The rapid development of digital financial services has made financial transactions more convenient. However, it has also increased students' tendency toward consumptive behavior, creating challenges in financial management. This condition highlights the importance of Islamic financial literacy, self-reward, and lifestyle as factors influencing students' financial management. This study aims to analyze the effects of Islamic financial literacy, self-reward, and lifestyle on the financial management of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, cohorts of 2023–2024. This study employed a quantitative approach using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique with 100 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that Islamic financial literacy and self-reward each have a positive and significant effect on financial management, while lifestyle has a negative and significant effect. These findings confirm that Islamic financial literacy, self-reward, and lifestyle are determinants of students' financial management. Furthermore, the findings imply that improving Islamic financial literacy and implementing self-reward appropriately may support better financial management, whereas a tendency toward a consumptive lifestyle may reduce the quality of students' financial management.
