Abstract

Background: Caesarea n section is a major surgical procedure that is essential in obstetrics to save the lives of the mother and foetus in cases of high-risk vaginal delivery. One of the common indications for a caesarea n section is the failure of labour induction, which can lead to Post -operative pain. Pain management using non-pharmacological methods, such as endorphin massage techniques, plays a crucial role in enhancing comfort. Objective: This study aimed to implement comprehensive nursing care for Mrs. U, a Post -Caesarea n section patient with a history of failed induction, at the South Tangerang General Hospital. Method: The study design employed was descriptive with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews, physical examinations, observations, and documentation. Results: Following three days of care for Mrs. U (P3A1), the nursing diagnoses identified were acute pain, risk of infection, and knowledge deficit. The nursing interventions implemented included pain management, wound care, and infection prevention education. The evaluation results showed an improvement in the patient’s condition for each nursing diagnosis. Conclusion: The implementation of nursing care for Mrs. U (P3A1) following a caesarea n section due to failed induction demonstrated an improvement in her condition following the application of nursing interventions appropriate to the identified nursing diagnoses.
