Abstract

The 2024 Legislative Election represents a political contest that requires legislative candidates to develop effective campaign strategies suited to voter characteristics, particularly within the context of local politics. This study aims to analyze Misbahudin’s political campaign strategy in the 2024 Legislative Election of Bekasi City using Hafied Cangara’s political campaign strategy theory, which emphasizes communicators, messages, media, audiences, and communication effects. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that Misbahudin’s campaign strategy was formulated through voter and district mapping, strengthening the role of political communicators through the candidate and campaign team, and developing campaign messages aligned with local community needs and issues. Direct and interpersonal political communication emerged as the dominant campaign media, effectively fostering emotional closeness and voter trust. The campaign effects were reflected in increased public acceptance and electoral support. This study is expected to contribute to academic discussions on local political campaign strategies and serve as a reference for future research.
