Abstract
This research was initiated by the increasing need for financial literacy in society, especially through the use of Instagram as a platform for education. Instagram account of @homecreditid through the #DoITCERDAS campaign, aims to increase the awareness and understanding of financial literacy among its followers. This research aims to determine the effect of #DoITCERDAS content on the financial literacy understanding of its followers using the Cultivation Theory approach. The research approach used is explanatory quantitative with a survey method with online questionnaires to 100 respondents who are followers of the @homecreditid Instagram, which were determined using purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis techniques include validity, reliability, normality, simple linear regression test, coefficient of determination test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the hypothesis test in this study show that H1 is accepted and there is a significant relationship between the #DoITCERDAS content variable and financial literacy understanding. The results of the coefficient of determination test show that the #DoITCERDAS content has an influence of 25% on the financial literacy understanding. Thus, it can be concluded that the #DoITCERDAS content through the @homecreditid Instagram has an effect on improving the financial literacy understanding of its followers.
