Abstract
The utilization of health services by National Health Insurance (JKN) participants reflects the affordability of access and the functionality of the service system, influenced by predisposing, enabling, driving factors, and disease level. This study aims to analyze factors related to the utilization of health services by JKN participants at South Tangerang City General Hospital (RSU) in 2025. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted in November–December 2025 on 100 JKN participant patients selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out multivariately using multiple logistic regression. The results showed that health service utilization was dominated by the high category (83.0%). Bivariately, utilization was associated with age (p=0.020), education level (p<0.001), JKN membership type (p=0.005), disease type (p<0.001), perception of JKN (p=0.026), assessment of health facilities (p<0.001), and family support (p=0.003). Unrelated variables included gender, service access, household income, and knowledge level (p>0.05). The final modeling showed that the most dominant variable influencing low utilization was service access; respondents with long distances were 12,305 times more likely to experience low utilization than those with short distances. Hospitals are advised to prioritize improving service access, especially for low-utilization groups.
