Abstract
The research aims to analyze and test the influence of the @bijakmemilih.id Instagram account's usage on the Political Rights Awareness of Generation Z (Gen Z) in the 2024 Indonesian General Election. The independent variable of this study is the Usage of @bijakmemilih.id Content (X), which is measured using Chris Heuer's 4C Concept (Context, Communication, Collaboration, Connection) , while the dependent variable is the Political Rights Awareness of Gen Z (Y), measured based on the Political Orientations (Cognitive, Affective, Evaluative) from Almond and Verba’s The Civic Culture Theory. This quantitative study employed a survey method involving 100 Gen Z respondents who actively follow the account. The statistical analysis results indicate that a significant and positive influence exists from the use of @bijakmemilih.id content on the political rights awareness of Gen Z. The educational content, presented in a light, engaging, and credible format, is deemed effective in building political understanding among Gen Z. This finding reinforces Instagram's role as a vital tool in shaping public opinion and increasing political awareness among the youth. This suggests that non-partisan digital platforms like @bijakmemilih.id play a major role in encouraging Gen Z to be more involved and critical in exercising their political rights in the 2024 Election.
