Abstract
The high workload and risk of stress among inpatient nurses at RSUD Pasar Rebo, reflected in a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7, may affect psychological well-being, which is crucial for productivity and patient safety. Differences in employment status between civil servant and non-civil servant nurses may create disparities in income stability, future security, and job security. This study aimed to analyze differences in psychological well-being between civil servant and non-civil servant inpatient nurses at RSUD Pasar Rebo in 2025. A quantitative cross-sectional design was conducted involving 115 inpatient nurses using Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale. Data were analyzed using the Independent T-test. Univariate analysis showed a mean psychological well-being score of 84.95, with scores ranging from 62 to 103. The results indicated a significant difference in psychological well-being between civil servant and non-civil servant nurses ρ sig. (2-tailed) = 0.035, while age, gender, and marital status were not significantly associated with psychological well-being. These findings suggest that employment status plays an important role in differentiating nurses’ psychological well-being. Therefore, hospitals are encouraged to promote a more inclusive work environment by providing equal opportunities for professional development, fair recognition, and psychological support services such as counseling for inpatient nurses.
