Abstract

Objective: Everyone has the right to receive proper healthcare services. One way to assess the quality of healthcare services is through patient satisfaction with doctors’ professionalism in examining BPJS and general patients. Therefore, this study aims to identify the professionalism of doctors in examining BPJS and general patients at Tanah Abang General Hospital, as well as the factors influencing doctors’ professionalism in these examinations. Method: This study used a cross-sectional approach with a mixed-method technique. The quantitative data were collected using questionnaires, while the qualitative data were obtained through interviews and observations. Results: Based on the analysis, the bivariate test using the Mann-Whitney method showed p = 0.644, meaning p > 0.05, which indicates that there is no significant difference in doctors’ professionalism during patient examinations. Conclusion: There is no significant difference in doctors’ professionalism in examining patients. The factors influencing doctors’ professionalism include individual factors, system and environmental factors, and social and cultural factors.
