Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between the digital economy and economic growth in Indonesia during the 2008-2024 period. The development of Indonesia's digital economy during the 2008-2024 period has caused changes in national economic growth, marked by the increasing development of e-commerce, electronic money transactions, and the expansion of internet access. The variables in this study are Economic Growth (GDP), E-Commerce transaction value, and the Number of Internet Users. Data for this study were collected on average from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), then analyzed using the correlation method, namely the Spearman correlation. The results of the test in the study indicate that the digital economy sector in Indonesia has a high relationship with economic growth. The two variables studied, namely the value of E-Commerce transactions and the Number of Internet Users, have a statistically significant relationship with Economic Growth (GDP) during the 2008-2024 period. This finding indicates that there is a significant increase in economic growth related to the increase in e-commerce transactions and internet users.
