Abstract

Approximately 30.8% of Indonesians are reported to have hypertension since the age of 18. You can lower blood pressure by using drugs made from natural substances. These drugs include phytopharmaceuticals, standardized herbal medicines, and conventional herbal therapies. The purpose of this study was to ascertain if community awareness and attitudes about the use of natural-based drugs as an alternative option for regulating blood pressure, specifically in Meruyung, Depok City, are related. A cross-sectional design and an observational approach were used to conduct the study. Purposive and incidental sampling techniques were used to gather the samples. According to the findings, most respondents had adequate attitudes (86.8%) and good knowledge (52.8%). However, with a significance value of 0.109, data analysis showed no significant correlation between community knowledge and attitudes toward the usage of natural-based drugs for decreasing blood pressure (p>0.05).
