Abstract
Islamic banking in Indonesia operates under the principles of Islamic economics, emphasizing the prohibition of interest (riba) and financial practices that contradict Islamic teachings. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the interest of the Jabodetabek community in choosing PT Bank Syariah Indonesia as their preferred Islamic financial institution. A quantitative method was employed, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 75 respondents. The analysis used Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to determine the relationship between the independent variables—Islamic financial literacy, service quality, and promotion—and the dependent variable, namely the interest in saving. The findings reveal that Islamic financial literacy and service quality significantly and positively impact saving interest. In contrast, the promotion variable does not show a significant influence. Theoretically, this research contributes to the academic understanding of consumer behavior in Islamic banking. Practically, it provides insights for Bank Syariah Indonesia in developing more targeted marketing strategies and offers input for regulators to support Islamic banking development in Indonesia.
