Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of candidate quality, party programs, digital campaigns, and political identification on voter behavior toward the Partai Kebangkitan Nusantara (PKN) as a new political party in the 2024 Legislative Election in Jakarta. As a newly established party, PKN faces various challenges in competing with long-established parties, particularly in building voter trust and engagement through candidate recognition, program clarity, and ideological proximity. The findings show that all independent variables significantly influence voter behavior, with political identification emerging as the most dominant factor shaping voting tendencies. In contrast, digital campaigns had a negative influence due to being perceived as unappealing and lacking credibility. The majority of respondents believe that PKN has not yet presented distinctive programs, strong candidate profiles, or a political identity that sets it apart from existing parties. This indicates that PKN, as a new party, still needs a stronger strategy to build a political image and emotional connection with urban voters in Jakarta.
