Abstract

Students’ knowledge about plastic waste management at SDN 01 Pamulang is still relatively low with the lowest score of 23 and the highest score of 53.8. This study aimed to determine the differences in students’ knowledge about plastic waste management through the collaborations of booklet and video media. The research used a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest. Through the proportionate stratified random sampling technique with a minimum sample of 68 students. This study used an instrument in the form of a knowledge questionnaire about plastic waste management with a total of 13 valid questions. The intervention was carried out using a collaboration of a booklet and video media. The univariate analysis showed that before the intervention with a median value of 53,8 and after the intervention a median value became 92,3. The bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon Test showed a significant differences in students’ knowledge before and after the intervention with a p-value of 0.00 (p-value <0.05). It can be concluded that intervention using collaborative booklet and video media has been proven to improve student's knowledge about plastic waste management. It is suggested that students can apply this knowledge supported by routine program interventions from the school. Keyword: Student Knowledge, Plastic Waste Management, Booklet and Video
