Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnancy is a common condition and can have serious impacts on the health of the mother and fetus. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women is still high, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. Objective: This study aims to report nursing care for Mrs. Z with anemia in the third trimester of pregnancy in the Delima Room of Pasar Rebo Hospital. Method: The method used is a case study with a nursing care process approach that includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and physical examinations. Results: The results of the assessment showed that Mrs. Z had anemia with an Hb level of 8.9 g/dL. The nursing diagnoses found included ineffective peripheral perfusion, activity intolerance, sleep pattern disorders, and knowledge deficits. After nursing intervention for 3x24 hours, there was an improvement in the patient's condition, marked by reduced complaints of dizziness, reduced fatigue, decreased difficulty sleeping, and increased knowledge levels. Conclusion: Nursing care provided to Mrs. Z with anemia in the third trimester of pregnancy successfully resolved the nursing problems experienced. Increasing patient knowledge about handling anemia during pregnancy is the key to the success of the intervention.
