Abstract
This study aims to discuss the political campaign strategies implemented by DPD PSI Kota Tangerang to double the number of DPRD Kota Tangerang seats in the 2024 election using the ground war campaign theory. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through structured interviews with selected respondents using purposive sampling techniques and literature studies. The findings reveal that the effective strategy employed by DPD PSI Kota Tangerang for the 2024 DPRD Kota Tangerang election was to utilize voter data from previous elections as a reference for placing legislative candidates (Caleg) in each electoral district (Dapil) to align with the voter demographics. Legislative candidates were instructed to adopt a personalized communication approach through door-to-door canvassing and phone banking. Additionally, candidates were directed to build numerous volunteer networks to assist with door-to-door canvassing and phone banking with other community groups, thereby expanding voter outreach. This campaign strategy ultimately led to an increase in votes across all electoral districts, resulting in one seat being secured in four out of five electoral districts for the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) in the 2024 DPRD Kota Tangerang election.
