Abstract
Background: The structure of the human foot consists of various parts that have an important role in supporting the mobility and stability of the body. In children, changes in the structure of the legs can significantly affect the posture and balance of the body. One of the conditions that is often encountered is flat foot, which is considered part of the natural development process. Flat foot is characterized by a decrease in the longitudinal arch of the foot, even until the entire surface of the foot touches the ground when standing, with a clarke's angle of less than 31o. Objective: To find out the description of the Flat foot incident in grade 5 students at SDN Limo 2 Depok City. Research Method: This quantitative descriptive research was carried out through wet footprint test measurements and clarke's angle calculations. A total of 88 grade 5 students with an age range of 10-12 years at SDN Limo 2 Depok City. Results: Flat foot was found in 37 students (42%) with the highest distribution in female students (21.6%), having an age of 11 years (29.5%), with a normal BMI category (25%), having a very good dynamic balance (29.5%), and having moderate physical activity (21.6%). Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, the distribution of flat foot was most commonly found in female students, aged 11 years, with a normal weight category of body mass index (BMI), excellent dynamic balance, and a moderate level of physical activity.
