Abstract

E-wallet is one of the popular electronic money payment systems in Indonesia. E-wallet has two types of products, namely server-based and chip-based. In making the decision to use an e-wallet is influenced by several factors. This study uses the TAM (Theory Acceptance Model) and TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior) theories which explain that the acceptance of information technology is influenced by 3 factors, namely perceived ease, perceived benefits, and perceived risk. This study aims to analyze the perception of ease, perception of benefits, and perception of risk that can affect the interest of Generation Z in using the DANA e-wallet. The research method used is quantitative with data collection through an online questionnaire involving 108 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the study indicate that: (1) perception of ease has a significant effect on the interest of Generation Z in using the DANA e-wallet, (2) perception of benefits has a significant effect on the interest of Generation Z in using the DANA e-wallet, and (3) perception of risk has a significant effect on the interest of Generation Z in using the DANA e-wallet. These findings provide implications for the development of e-wallet marketing strategies, especially in attracting attention and increasing technology adoption among Generation Z.
