Abstract
This research examines women's penetration in forming romantic relationships through the dating app Bumble. The distinction of this application is that it requires women to initiate interactions with the aim of women having control in the relationship and changing the perception that women are considered as parties who can only wait and accept decisions. Human relationships in building romantic relationships require intimate stages to get to further relationships while the Bumble application only provides limited space to initiate interactions. This research intends to describe in depth the stages of interpersonal communication carried out based on the stages and find out women's penetration of more intimate interpersonal communication to build dating relationships using the Social Penetration Theory.
