Abstract

Now the public is no longer just a recipient of information. The existence of citizen journalism allows the community to be active as a source of information. Several online media in Indonesia have their own citizen journalism channels so that people have a choice in which way to channel the information they have. Detikcom with its citizen journalism channel, namely Pasangmata, is different from citizen journalism channels in other online media. The information that Pasangmata received from residents was not only disseminated by detikcom, but also helped solve the problem completely through a collaboration program with detikcom Do Your Magic. After conducting research, it was found that news management resulting from the collaboration of PasangMata and detikcom do Your Magic went through the stages of news gathering, news editing, news distributing, and news evaluating. Apart from that, the PasangMata and detikcom collaboration program Do Your Magic describes a three-part agenda setting process, namely the media agenda influences the community agenda, and the community agenda influences the agenda of policy makers. In this case, the news on detikcom which originates from public information is processed into news which will later generate discussion in the community so that it gets the attention of policy makers and produces a solution to a problem.
