Abstract
This research aims to examine the meaning of love in the lyrics of the song "Pelangi di Jiwa" by D'blow by using semiotic analysis of the lyrics of the song "Pelangi di Jiwa" by D'blow. D'blow is a Reggae Rock band originating from Jakarta and founded on June 6 2006. The name D'blow reflects the hopes of its members to spread positive energy and achieve global success through their music. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, which analyzes song lyrics based on the concepts of denotation, connotation and myth. Data was collected through observation techniques and analyzed to reveal the meaning of love contained in the song lyrics. The research results show that the lyrics of "Rainbow di Jiwa" communicate feelings of love through various levels of meaning, making music an effective medium for conveying messages and hopes about the great power of love. This can be seen from In this song the author conveys a picture of the strong power of love when facing problems simultaneously with the people we love. This is because of emotional support, because the presence of a partner can provide very important emotional support. When facing problems or stress, having someone who understands and supports you can lighten the burden. Apart from emotional support, there is also cooperation in the division of tasks, with both tasks and responsibilities being shared fairly and not burdening each other, this makes homework, financial problems and other responsibilities easier to deal with. Then you get happiness and comfort, the presence of loved ones can give you a feeling of happiness and comfort, this can make everyday life easier to live. Couples can discuss with each other and find solutions together in facing problems, so that problems can be resolved more quickly and more easily.
