Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of food bar extracts of katuk leaves and torbangun leaves on the nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers and breast milk volume. The research method used was Quasi experimental (pseudo experimental) using 2 treatment groups namely: 1) group of subjects who were given food products of katuk leaf and torbangun food bar; 2) group of subjects who were not given food products of katuk leaf and torbangun food bar. The data analysis used is the Shapiro Wilk test for normality test, followed by the wilcoxon test if the data is not normally distributed and continued with the paired t-test if the data is normally distributed. Food bar extracts of katuk and torbangun leaf juice were tested for effectiveness in breastfeeding mothers. The results of the analysis showed that there was no significant difference between the nutritional status before and after consuming the food bar (p=1,000) but there was a significant difference between the volume of breast milk before and after consuming the food bar (p=0,000).
