Abstract
The detoxification phenomenon of the survival show program “Kingdom: Legendary War” on social media is a contemporary phenomenon where users stay away from social media X for a certain period of time. This study aims to discuss the digital detoxification carried out by the K-Pop fan community in social media “X” by using qualitative netnographic research using a netnographic approach through six stages of coding, namely Coding, Noting, Abstracting, Checking & Refining, Generalizing, and Theorizing. The activities of eight fans will be analyzed from the source of posts, likes, comments and retweets. In addition to observing fan activity on social media X, this study also conducted in-depth interviews with eight interviewees. The first result of this research found that six interviewees conducted temporary social media detoxification such as moving from the main account to a private account, un-stan or stop being a fan, and move to other social media. Then secondly, it was found that two interviewees did a full social media X detox that brought positive changes to their lives in the real world.
