Abstract
Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a lung disorder that causes ventilation abnormalities in the form of respiratory tract obstruction that is progressive and not completely reversible. This obstruction is related to the lung's abnormal inflammatory response to foreign particles or harmful gases. In COPD, chronic bronchitis and emphysema are often found together, although they have different processes. This study aims to determine physiotherapy management in COPD cases. Design: The research carried out was in the form of a case study, containing patient data which included patient identity, anamnesis results, interventional physiotherapy examinations and evaluations. The research samples taken were patients diagnosed with COPD. Results: After completing Four times of physiotherapy evaluation by providing interventions using posture correction, breathing control, deep breathing and chest mobility, the results showed a reduction in shortness of breath and an increase in the expansion of the thorax cage.
