Abstract
Acute Respiratory Infection is one of the most common diseases affecting toddlers and it causes Acute Respiratory Infection to be one of the top 10 diseases in Pamulang Health Center. In addition, there is a decrease in visits to Acute Respiratory Infection disease in toddlers in 2023 in the utilization of health services at Pamulang Health Center as a form of attention that must be studied. Knowledge and attitude are factors that have a relationship in utilizing health services. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors of knowledge and attitude towards the utilization of health services in parents of toddler patients with Acute Respiratory Tract Infection at Pamulang Health Center. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design with a population of 686 people and a research sample of 134 respondents. The analysis used was univariate analysis, bivariate with chi square, to multivariate using multiple logistic regression. The results showed that the variables significantly associated with health service utilization were age (p = 0.027), culture (p = 0.036), experience (p = 0.033), mass media (p = 0.041), and support from others (p = 0.029). Age is the most influential factor in the utilization of health services in parents of toddler patients with ARI at Pamulang Health Center with a p value = 0.013 and a OR value of 2.868 (95% CI 1.249 - 6.589) which indicates that young age will 2 to 3 times utilize health services. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between age, culture, experience, mass media, support from others, and the age variable has a dominant influence on health service utilization. This study provides advice to Pamulang Health Center to maintain positive ones such as in terms of services, facilities and infrastructure, or friendliness of officers and pay attention to patient complaints regarding service time so that patients can take advantage of health services optimally.
