Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF DISASTER ANIMATED EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS ON INCREASING FLOOD DISASTER PREPAREDNESS IN CLASS V STUDENTS AT SDN TAMAN CIBODAS, TANGERANG CITY Wahyu Putri Pamungkas Abstract Floods are one of the disasters that frequently occur in Indonesia, so they can cause various negative impacts, such as loss of life, damage to infrastructure and economic losses, both to adults and children. Children are a group vulnerable to flood disasters, so they need to be equipped with the right knowledge and attitudes to face these disasters. Animated educational videos have the potential to be an effective and engaging educational tool for children. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of animated disaster educational videos on increasing flood disaster preparedness among class V students at SDN Taman Cibodas, Tangerang city. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, one group pretest posttest. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a total sample of 109 respondents. The analysis used is paired sample t-test. The results of this research show that there is an influence of animated disaster educational videos on increasing flood disaster preparedness with a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that animated educational videos can influence increased preparedness. Keyword: Preparedness, Floods, School Children
