Abstract
The rapid development of information technology in Indonesia progresses every day alongside advancements in science. Technology has taken on an important role in almost every Activity. Specifically, in the car rental business, information technology facilitates access to information and services for the public. Based on the author's research at Maju Bersama Rental, this business still uses conventional methods in managing car rental transactions and promoting services. The rental process relies on communication through the WhatsApp application and manual record-keeping, with promotions limited to social media. Common issues in the operation of the car rental business include difficulties in financial report management, fleet management, and overall operational efficiency. Therefore, the author designed a web-based information system aimed at Maju Bersama Rental to simplify the rental process, transaction management, and fleet management using the Waterfall model in its system design. This system is equipped with features such as automatic transaction recording, real-time financial reporting, integrated fleet management, and a user-friendly interface. Additionally, the system allows customers to view car availability and make reservations online. The implementation of a web-based car rental system has proven to enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality for customers, and simplify fleet management. This research demonstrates that the adoption of information technology can have a significant positive impact on the operations and growth of the car rental business, as well as increase overall customer satisfaction. Thus, this system is expected to become a comprehensive solution for car rental businesses in the digital era.
