Abstract

This study aims to identify and explain the factors driving student interest in using digital wallets. The research background shows that digital wallets have become a new norm due to their convenience, speed, and practicality, despite being vulnerable to cybercrimes such as online fraud. Based on the UTAUT theory, this study explores the influence of Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, and Hedonic Motivation on the intention to use digital wallets. The research method employs purposive sampling with 133 respondents from UPN "Veteran" Jakarta students and is analyzed using SEM-PLS method with smart-pls. The results show that Performance Expectancy and Social Influence have a significant positive influence on the intention to use, while Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, and Hedonic Motivation do not have a significant influence. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for digital wallet system providers and the public to understand the elements driving digital wallet usage and to enhance services and marketing strategies.
