Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a condition of systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg which can threaten health if not treated. Symptoms/signs of hypertension include headaches or a feeling of heaviness in the nape of the neck, fatigue, palpitations, ringing in the ears, blurred vision and nosebleeds. Management of hypertension can be done by pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. Method: This research uses a case study method in nursing care for Ms. R with a case of hypertension at the South Tangerang City General Hospital. On March 8 2024 to March 10 2024. Data collection was obtained by means of interviews, observation, physical examination and documentation. Results: The nursing diagnosis made to Ms. R is the risk of decreased cardiac output, acute pain, impaired comfort and knowledge deficit. The nursing intervention was carried out by teaching non-pharmacological techniques in the form of deep breathing relaxation and providing health education to Ms. R in the form of hypertension education. Nursing implementation was carried out in accordance with the nursing interventions that had been made and carried out a 3x24 hour nursing evaluation of Ms. Pain problem. R can be resolved. Conclusion: The nursing care given to Ms. R can be resolved and Ms. R can carry out interventions that have been taught independently
