Abstract

The prevalence of cesarean delivery is increasing globally. Developed countries such as Scotland, Australia and Germany report an increase in the prevalence of cesarean deliveries, this also applies to Indonesia, which is a developing country. The increasing prevalence of cesarean deliveries will also increase the risks of the procedure. Pain in mothers after cesarean delivery is one of the risks, but untreated pain will turn into complications such as chronic post-surgical pain or abbreviated as CPSP. Pain management with non-pharmacological therapy is a safe method that can be done, one example of therapy discussed in this research is reflexology foot massage. This study provides nursing care to post-cesarean mothers by providing foot massage therapy to reduce the pain they. Before being given the reflexology foot massage intervention, the pain scale reported by the patient was on a scale of 5 or moderate pain and after immediately being given the intervention the pain scale dropped to 2 or mild pain. This proves that reflexology foot massage therapy, which was discovered several thousand years ago, is effective. in managing pain in mothers after cesarean delivery.
