Abstract
This research aims to find out and describe how much influence parental communication patterns and internet use have on online gambling behavior of teenagers in West Bekasi District. In an effort to understand how parental communication patterns and internet use affect teenagers' online gambling behavior, this research uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire survey method for teenagers with online gambling behavior. This research uses the theory of family communication patterns with 100 samples. The magnitude of the influence of the correlation analysis of the adolescent-parent communication pattern variable on the adolescent online gambling behavior variable is 0.31 and the results of the correlation analysis of the internet use variable on the adolescent online gambling variable are <0.001. The results of multiple linear regression are 0.122 for the adolescent-parent communication pattern variable, which means that the relationship between variable X1 and variable Y is positive. Furthermore, the results of multiple linear regression on the internet usage variable are 1.118, which means that the relationship between variable X2 and variable Y is positive. The results of the coefficient of determination test on variables X1 and In the results of the T hypothesis test, there are results on the adolescent - parent communication variable (X1) with t calculated 0.798 < t table 1.98472 and with a significance level of 0.427> 0.05. and the internet use variable has hypothesis test results with t count 14.798 > t table > 1.98472 and with a significance level of <0.001 < 0.05. The conclusion of this research is that the lack of communication patterns carried out by parents and teenagers has a negative impact on the behavior carried out by teenagers, but on a low scale.
