Abstract

This research aims to analyze and understand the winning strategy process undertaken by the elected candidates Ir. H. Hendy Siswanto-M. Balya Firjaun in the Jember Regional Election 2020 against the incumbent, utilizing political marketing theory and political campaign. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques include literature study and in-depth interviews with research subjects. Researchers employ four stages of analysis: data presentation, data verification, data reduction, and triangulation to ensure data authenticity. The research results indicate that the victory of Hendy Siswanto-M. Balya Firjaun in the Jember Regional Election 2020 highlights effective campaign strategies, addressing relevant issues such as agriculture through the Smart Village program. Leveraging their political background, they adapted campaigns to the COVID-19 pandemic, increasing voter turnout and enthusiasm. Their success reflects not only effective campaigning but also focusing on crucial issues and agile responses to challenges. This victory reflects public enthusiasm for democracy and promises positive change for Jember. Despite future challenges, their victory paves the way for constructive transformation, emphasizing the importance of strategic campaigns and responsibility towards social needs.
