Abstract

This thesis aims to specifically examine Perindo's strategy in increasing party electability through the use of the media networks they have. Perindo in this case is a new party which at the beginning of its emergence had its own characteristics through the Perindo march and the background of their party which was formed by Harry Tanoe as a businessman and owner of the MNC Group which is proven to this day, the Perindo party still exists to color the political scene in Indonesia and continues to strive to increase the electability of his party, which from the start has continued to experience an increase in electability as a new party in Indonesia. This research uses the Niffengger 4P Theory (Promotion, Place, Product, Price) as an analytical tool, and uses Political Parties, Media Conglomeration, Political Communication, and Electability as research concepts to help researchers to analyze this research more deeply. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews. The results of this research found that Perindo experienced this, even though it failed in the last two elections that the party had participated in, but as a new party, Perindo succeeded in maximizing their potential, especially in increasing the electability of the party. This is due to the power of the media network they have and the brush. MNC Group as a political commodity tool used by Perindo succeeded in bringing this party to continue to exist and carry out a campaign by airing Mars Perindo advertisements, they were assisted by financial capital and the power of the political elite from Harry Tanoe as owner of MNC Group and general chairman of Perindo to maximize political campaigns.
