Abstract

Yadika 11 Bekasi High School is one of the schools under the Abdi Karya Foundation (Yadika) which was established in 2008. Yadika 11 Bekasi High School has a website that has features to find out information about the school such as the school's vision and mission, a brief history, photo and video galleries, alumni directory, teachers and students. A website is a service that combines pages on a server using hyperlinks to make it easier for users to find information. Websites are often used because they are easily accessible from anywhere. However, a website must have a good user interface to be able to retain its users, because if the website has an unattractive appearance it can make users lazy to use the website again. This study aims to evaluate the usability level of the user experience of the SMA Yadika 11 Bekasi website and redesign the website user interface that can meet user needs and the usability level of the SMA Yadika 11 Bekasi website. This research uses the User Centered Design (UCD) method as a foundation for redesigning the user interface. The result of this research is a new user interface that meets the usability level in the form of a prototype. After conducting usability testing on the current website, the score obtained is 47 which means that the current website is included in the not acceptable category. After analyzing the data and doing a redesign using the UCD method and usability testing, the score obtained is 73, which means that the redesign results are well received.
