Abstract

The increased sharpness and accuracy of consumers in choosing a quality product to buy encourages companies to work more professionally in order to survive and compete with other companies. Quality control is one of the crucial things that should be considered by PT. Hanglekiu Plastics Abadi to maintain product quality so that it can meet customer satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to identify the quality improvement of chopped plastic products, as well as how to generate quality improvement proposals to reduce sales rejection of chopped plastic products. In this study, the Quality Control Circle method was used with the PDCA approach (plan, do, check, action) and Fault Tree Analysis to describe the factors that cause this. It is also known that the factors that cause product rejects/returns are due to products that are still contaminated with grease or dirt, causing the return of the final product. The way to minimize the occurrence of this is by adding 125 grams of caustic soda additional production/per day while in the washing tub and maintaining the cleanliness of the factory environment, especially in the drying container.
