Abstract

This study examines regional innovations related to public services carried out by the Batu Meja sub-district in Ambon city. The case study in this research looked at the public service innovations carried out by the Batu Meja sub-district during the leadership of the Siti Hapsah Tuanaya lurah for the 2019-2022 period. Innovation can bring renewal in providing services to the community so that it becomes an important key in measuring the success of the implementation of public services. The research method uses qualitative methods, with descriptive research types using primary and secondary data. Descriptive research tries to see and describe the successful implementation of village innovation programs. To support this descriptive research using interviews, observation and collection of documents to obtain data. The results of this study indicate that during the leadership of the lurah Siti Hapsah Tuanaya in the Batu Meja sub-district, there were many successful innovation programs. The innovation programs implemented are UK RT (Households), Kiosk-K machine electronic services, MSME assistance, grief compensation assistance, basic food assistance to flood and landslide victims, grief compensation assistance, livable housing assistance, and the waste bank flagship program and WATSAN (Water and Drainage). The village seeks to collaborate with related agencies to realize innovation programs for the community. Most of the kelurahan innovation programs have been well realized because the kelurahan is still in the process of maintaining the waste bank program to become a sustainable program. The distribution of kelurahan innovations covers the fields of administration, economic development, administration, and the environment. The motivation that underlies the innovation in implementing the Batu Meja sub-district program is included in the strategic choice. The kelurahan in implementing innovation programs meets efficiency assessment standards and the community has a good response regarding a number of implemented innovation programs.
