Abstract

This study evaluates digital politics concerning public e-participation via the BKPerdag website, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. It aims to analyze the effectiveness of electronic participation levels and their impact on trade policy-making. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews, website analysis, and documentation. The theoretical framework applies MacIntosh's (2004) and Le Blanc's (2020) three participation levels: e-information, e-consultation, and e-decision-making. The findings confirm previous studies that e- participation in Indonesia remains limited to monitoring and agenda-setting stages. Specifically, electronic participation on the BKPerdag website is strong at the e-information level, developing in e-consultation, but highly limited in e-decision-making. This research contributes to the political science discourse on e-government and e-governance initiatives, as well as the development of public participation concepts in policy-making at both central and regional levels.
