Abstract
The processing of the Certificate of Origin database at PT XYZ is still performed manually using Microsoft Excel, resulting in relatively long processing times, potential human errors, and reduced work effectiveness. This study aims to develop a COO database digitalization application as a tool to improve data processing effectiveness and evaluate its usability. The system was developed using the System Development Life Cycle with the Waterfall model, consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application was developed using Python to automate the COO data processing workflow. Effectiveness was evaluated using the Time Study method by comparing processing times before and after the application implementation, while usability was assessed using the System Usability Scale. The results indicate that the application reduced the average processing time from 1,660.8 seconds to 23.92 seconds, representing a 98.56% reduction, thereby significantly improving the effectiveness of the COO data processing process. Furthermore, the application achieved a SUS score of 86.25, classified as Grade A+, Best Imaginable, Acceptable, and Promoter. These findings demonstrate that the developed application is both effective and easy to use in supporting COO database processing at PT XYZ.
