Abstract
"Aping Bike" is an online bicycle retailer that requires fast, secure, and efficient shipping services. In practice, the selection of courier services is often based on subjective factors, such as established habits or cost considerations alone. However, given that bicycles are large, high-value items, choosing an unsuitable courier can increase the risk of delays and damage, thereby reducing customer satisfaction. This study aims to design and develop a Decision Support System (DSS) to assist "Aping Bike" in selecting the best courier service in an objective and quantifiable manner. The DSS is built using the SMART (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique) method, a multi-criteria decision-making approach capable of evaluating various courier alternatives based on specific assessment criteria. The criteria used in this study include shipping cost, delivery speed, security, service coverage, and customer service quality. The system outputs a final score and ranking of courier alternatives, serving as a recommendation for the store. The study is expected to yield a system that facilitates a more systematic, transparent, and consistent courier selection process. Consequently, this DSS can help improve operational shipping efficiency while enhancing service quality and customer satisfaction for "Aping Bike."Keywords: Decision Support System, Courier Selection, SMART, Multi-Attribute Decision Making, E-commerce.
