Abstract
Accounting information systems play an important role in supporting the management of sales transactions and accounts receivable to ensure that financial information is accurate, integrated, and provided in a timely manner. PT Unilab Perdana is an environmental laboratory service company that uses MAS Enterprise Resource Planning (MASERP) to support the recording of sales transactions and the management of accounts receivable. This final project aims to analyze the implementation of an accounting information system in the sales and accounts receivable processes using MASERP, as well as the challenges encountered during its implementation. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and a literature review. The results indicate that the implementation of MASERP has effectively supported the accounting information system for sales and accounts receivable through integrated transaction recording, automatic journal generation, automatic updates of accounts receivable balances, and the provision of more effective and accurate financial information. Furthermore, the system has fulfilled the main components of an accounting information system, including documents, procedures, users, software, databases, and internal controls. However, the implementation of MASERP still faces several challenges related to its web-based platform, such as system errors, slow loading times, and temporary system inaccessibility, which may delay the recording of transactions. Therefore, the company should continuously evaluate and enhance the system to optimize the implementation of its accounting information system.
