Abstract
Fatimah Hospital Serang is one of the healthcare institutions that provides inpatient services for patients. In its implementation, the inpatient management process still faces several challenges, such as limited real-time information regarding room availability, non-integrated administrative verification processes, and coordination among staff that is still conducted manually. These conditions have the potential to cause service delays and reduce the efficiency of inpatient management. This study aims to design a web-based Inpatient Information System for Fatimah Hospital Serang using the Laravel framework. The system is designed to support patient data management, inpatient room reservations, administrative verification, room status monitoring, as well as housekeeping and maintenance task management. The system development method used in this research is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which supports fast system development through an iterative approach and active user involvement during the design process. The system design was modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML), including Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams. Database design was developed using Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and Physical Data Models (PDM). The system was implemented using the Laravel framework with a MySQL database. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that all system functionalities operate according to user requirements. The results of this study indicate that the designed and implemented system is capable of supporting integrated inpatient management processes, starting from inpatient registration requests by patients, administrative verification by registration staff, room availability and status management, to the monitoring of housekeeping and maintenance activities. The system also provides more structured and accessible information, thereby improving the effectiveness and efficiency of inpatient services at Fatimah Hospital Serang.
