Abstract
Indonesia boasts abundant biodiversity from its vast forests, yet its existence continues to be threatened by deforestation and land conversion. In forest management strategies, economic valuation is a crucial instrument for policymaking. Although numerous forest valuation studies have been conducted, specific research on Waqf Forests, particularly the Bogor Waqf Forest, remains limited. This study aims to analyze the management strategy and economic valuation of the Bogor Waqf Forest. This study uses qualitative methods with primary data through interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and observation, as well as secondary data through a literature review of books, articles, and the mass media. The study shows that the management strategy for the Bogor Waqf Forest includes community involvement, hexahelix collaboration, comprehensive dimensional coverage, partnership-based waqf asset collection, and accountability and transparency. The valuation results using Total Economic Value (TVE) through analysis of use value and non-use value found that the TEV of the Bogor Waqf Forest reached IDR 823,489,872 per year. This value is the sum of the use value of Rp7,100,000 and the non-use value of Rp816,389,872. This research is expected to be used as a basis for making conservation policies based on economic and sharia values, especially in the development of waqf.
