Abstract
Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) is one of the main components supporting Regional Original Income (PAD) in Bali Province, yet its realization during the 2019-2024 period showed dynamic fluctuations that were not always linear with the growth of its tax objects. This study aims to analyze the effect of Total Population, Number of Motor Vehicles, and Per Capita Expenditure on the Realization of Motor Vehicle Tax Revenue in Regencies/Cities of Bali Province. This quantitative research applies an econometric approach based on panel data regression. The secondary data utilized is a panel data (pooled data) structure, combining cross-section data from 9 regencies/cities in Bali Province with time-series data spanning from 2019 to 2024, resulting in a total of 54 observations. The estimation model was tested using the Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) approach to ensure the estimators are free from classical assumption violations. The results partially and simultaneously indicate that Total Population, Number of Motor Vehicles, and Per Capita Expenditure have a positive and significant effect on the Realization of Motor Vehicle Tax Revenue in Bali Province. Demographic population growth is proven to expand the base of tax subjects; the accumulation of vehicle units expands the base of material tax objects; and the stability of per capita expenditure reflects the actual financial capacity (ability to pay) of the community, which drives taxpayer compliance in optimizing regional revenue cash flows.
