Abstract

The inventory management system at Apotek Unggul Jaya is currently still carried out manually using stock cards and ledger recordings, making it prone to human error, inefficient in conducting stock opname, lacking in transparency, and produce inaccurate stock data, thereby potentially causing overstock, understock, and deadstock conditions. This research was conducted to analyze the system requirements and design a web-based inventory management information system capable of supporting drug stock management in a more accurate, efficient, and transparent way. The system was developed using the waterfall method, which consists of four stages: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Data was collected through direct interviews with pharmacy staff to gain a clear understanding of the system's needs. The system was built using the Laravel framework with an Model View Controller (MVC) architecture, and tested through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving the primary users to verify that the system's functionality aligns with the defined requirements. The outcome of this research is a web-based inventory management information system that supports the recording of incoming and outgoing goods, stock opname, stock monitoring, and report generation in a faster, more accurate, and more structured manner.
