Abstract

Stroke is one of the disorders of the nervous system that becomes a serious problem because it can cause death and long-term disability. One of the nursing problems that often arises in stroke patients is impaired physical mobility. This study aims to provide nursing care for Non-Hemorrhagic Stroke patients throught the implementation of Range Of Motion (ROM) exercises with a transcultural nursing approach. The method used is a descriptive case study with a nursing process approach conducted in the Anyelir room of South Tangerang General Hospital in March 2026. The assessment results using the Sunrise Model show that the patient’s condition is influenced by cultural factors and lifestyle, such as the habit of consuming high-salt food, lack of routine health check-ups, and neglecting early stroke symptoms in the form of numbness in the left limbs. The established nursing diagnosis is impaired physical mobility. Interventions were provided through ROM exercises and lifestyle changes toward healthier habits. Evaluation showed an improvement in the patient’s muscle strength from 3/5 to 4/5. Conclusion: cultural restructuring can enhance physical mobility in Non-Hemorrhagic stroke patients. Therefore, it is recommended that patiens maintain the new healthy habits by performing ROM exercises independently at home with active family support.
